Dasy Night, H-558

Dasy and her younger brother Biron are two siblings growing up without the care and protection every child deserves. Their father passed away and their mother who was a fishmonger left home when they were still very young to look for ways of feeding the family. To this day no one knows where she is.

The two children have been left to fend for themselves. They look for food to feed one another and comfort each other through the difficulties of life. Dasy, who is only one year older than Biron, has taken on a responsibility far too heavy for such a young girl. She has become her brother’s protector, caregiver and source of strength.

As much as she tries to be strong I worry deeply about Dasy. She is still a child yet she is carrying the burden of a whole family. A young girl left without adult protection can be vulnerable to many forms of exploitation and abuse.

Dasy and Biron need a safe place proper care and someone to stand beside them before they are forced to face these hardships alone. Dasy is 12 and her brother Biron is 11 years old.  Please sponsor one or both of them, so they may enter Hope Centre.
