Joseph Juma Ariyo (H-391)
After Joseph’s parents died when he was a toddler he was in the care of a sickly grandmother. When he was only six years old he started herding the neighbor's goats in exchange for food because she was unable to provide for him. He considers himself very fortunate to have been admitted to Hope Center. Joseph is now 15 years old and in the 7th grade. He likes mathematics and Kisswahili (the native language of the area) and wants to be a mechanic when he finishes school.
